Danam Nagender: Won’t Approach Supreme Court, Will Fight in Elections

Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender has responded to the Telangana High Court verdict disqualifying him from the Assembly in a defection case. Nagender said he respects the court’s decision and does not currently plan to challenge it in the Supreme Court. He said that if elections are held, he will contest and continue his political fight in the public arena.

Nagender also said he had met Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy after the court verdict. According to Nagender, the Chief Minister told him that he was a fighter and that they should continue the fight. The High Court had set aside the Assembly Speaker’s earlier decision and declared the Khairatabad Assembly seat vacant.
