The Telangana High Court has extended its interim stay on the order directing the removal of HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath from his post. The court has continued the stay until January 20 next year, providing further relief to the senior official. The issue relates to a single-judge bench order that directed Ranganath's removal over alleged contempt of court orders.
Challenging the single judge bench's decision, Ranganath approached the High Court. Subsequently, a division bench of the High Court had stayed the single judge's order. The latest decision to extend the interim stay means that the direction to remove Ranganath will remain suspended until January 20. The matter is expected to come up for further consideration before the court.
