India’s space agency, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), received a bomb threat via email at its headquarters in Bengaluru on Thursday. Acting swiftly, ISRO officials alerted the police, who rushed to the premises along with bomb disposal squads. The entire campus was evacuated, and thorough searches were conducted to ensure safety.
After an extensive inspection, no explosive materials were found, and authorities confirmed that the threat was likely a hoax. Police have launched an investigation to trace the origin of the email and identify the sender using technical evidence. Meanwhile, in a related development, Delhi Police arrested a man from Ghaziabad for sending fake bomb threat emails to multiple government institutions, including the National Investigation Agency, Defence Research and Development Organisation, and the civil aviation ministry.
