Manchester Super Giants created history by winning their maiden Men’s Hundred title. In the final at Lord’s on August 16, they defeated Trent Rockets by five wickets to lift the trophy for the first time. Batting first, Trent Rockets posted 158/8, with Noor Ahmad claiming three wickets and Sonny Baker taking two for the Super Giants.
Chasing 159, Manchester Super Giants were powered by a sensational knock from Tim Seifert, who smashed 72 off 38 balls with seven sixes. The Super Giants faced a late scare after Seifert’s dismissal, but Liam Dawson held his nerve and sealed the victory with a six. Manchester reached 162/5 in 19.3 overs, with two balls to spare. After losing two previous finals, the Super Giants finally secured their first Hundred championship.
