Redmi Note 17 5G Debuts in India

Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi has expanded its Redmi Note 17 lineup in India with the launch of the Redmi Note 17 5G. The smartphone features a 6.9-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,800 nits peak brightness, Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor, the device runs Android 16-based HyperOS 3. Redmi has also promised four years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates.

The Redmi Note 17 5G sports a 50MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. It packs an 8,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging support, with the company claiming up to two-and-a-half days of battery life on a single charge. The smartphone is available in 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB variants priced at ₹27,999 and ₹30,999, respectively. Sales will begin on August 12 via Amazon and Xiaomi India's online store. SBI, Kotak and Axis Bank credit card users can avail an instant discount of ₹3,000. The handset comes in Arctic Blue, Dark Knight and Starlight Purple colour options.
