During the inaugural ICC T20 World Cup in South Africa, India faced England in a crucial Super 8 match at Kingsmead, Durban. India needed a strong performance after losing their opening Super 8 game to New Zealand.

Yuvraj walked in with India in a strong position at 155 for three after 16.4 overs. Following an exchange with England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff, Yuvraj launched an extraordinary attack in the 19th over bowled by Stuart Broad. He cleared the boundary with all six deliveries, hitting six consecutive sixes in different areas of the ground. Yuvraj also completed his half-century from just 12 balls, a record that remained unmatched for several years.
