Huge Demand for World Cup Final Tickets

The 2027 ODI World Cup has witnessed an extraordinary response from cricket fans, with ticket requests reportedly reaching unprecedented levels. The Wanderers Stadium has a seating capacity of just 34,000, but around 8.4 million people have applied for tickets to watch a match at the venue. The World Cup final scheduled to be held at the same stadium has also attracted nearly eight million ticket requests, leaving the organisers surprised by the overwhelming demand.

According to the organisers, more than 30 lakh cricket fans from 193 countries have submitted over 120 million ticket requests for the tournament, which will feature 14 teams. The ticket ballot window will remain open until November 21. The ODI World Cup is scheduled to take place from October 2 to November 21, 2027. The massive response highlights the global excitement surrounding the upcoming cricket tournament.
