Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani has once again emerged as Asia’s richest person, according to the Forbes Real-Time Billionaires List. His net worth reportedly surged by $8 billion in a single day, taking his total wealth to $88.3 billion. The sharp rise followed a strong rally in Reliance Industries shares after the listing of Jio Platforms. The report described the stock movement as the company’s biggest single-day gain since 2020. With this increase, Ambani became the second-biggest wealth gainer globally for the day. ByteDance founder Zhang Yiming ranked second in Asia with an estimated fortune of $84 billion, while Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani held the third position with $79.1 billion.
At the global level, Tesla and SpaceX chief Elon Musk continued to lead the billionaire rankings with an estimated net worth of $878.5 billion. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos stood second with $366 billion, followed by Google co-founder Larry Page with $232.3 billion. Michael Dell and Sergey Brin occupied the next positions. In terms of daily wealth gains, Musk added $10 billion, while Ambani recorded an increase of $8 billion. However, some billionaires experienced significant losses. Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison’s wealth declined by $11.9 billion, while Michael Dell lost $9.9 billion in a single day. These changes highlight how fluctuations in the stock market can significantly influence billionaire wealth rankings.
