The Joyalukkas Group has announced an allocation of Rs. 100 crore towards philanthropic activities across India. The funds will be used to support economically and socially disadvantaged communities through various initiatives, including housing projects, education for girls, women’s empowerment, environmental protection and assistance for senior citizens. The initiative was launched to mark the 70th birthday of Joy Alukkas, founder and chairman of the Joyalukkas Group. Kerala Chief Minister V. D. Satheesan formally inaugurated the philanthropic programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Joy Alukkas said that the group had already spent crores of rupees on several charitable projects. He added that the latest allocation was aimed at extending support to more people and expanding the organisation’s service activities in the coming years. Through this initiative, the Joyalukkas Group intends to reach more underprivileged communities and contribute to their social and economic well-being.
