Kimi Antonelli has made a remarkable mark in Formula One, turning heads with his speed and fearless approach to racing. The Italian driver made his debut at the age of 18 and faced stiff competition from established stars such as Lando Norris, George Russell, Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton. Despite a challenging first season in 2025, Antonelli learned from his mistakes and returned stronger in 2026. He claimed victory at the Chinese Grand Prix at the age of 19, becoming the second-youngest driver to win an F1 race. He continued his impressive run throughout the season, securing several Grand Prix victories and establishing himself as a major force in the championship.
Racing runs in Antonelli’s family, with his father Marco also having competed successfully in car racing. Antonelli developed a passion for the sport at a young age and entered karting in 2014. After winning titles in the junior categories, he caught the attention of Mercedes, which inducted him into its junior programme in 2018. He went on to win multiple international titles and earned the ‘Rookie of the Year’ award in 2020. In the 2026 season, Antonelli reportedly secured 16 podium finishes from 19 races and claimed seven pole positions. His aggressive driving style, precise car control and ability to adapt to the new-generation F1 cars helped him stand out against experienced competitors. If he maintains this form, the young Italian could go on to break even more records.
