Gopika, the girl from Raptadu who was admitted to Manipal Hospital in Bengaluru after a violent incident, is showing signs of improvement, according to the latest health bulletin. Doctors have removed her ventilator support following surgery. She is now responding to doctors' calls and has started speaking a few words. Her health condition is stable, and the medical team is gradually reducing the high-flow oxygen support being provided in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
According to the doctors, Gopika is receiving food through a nasal tube without difficulty. She was also given a blood transfusion due to anaemia. Physiotherapy is being provided to improve the movement of her limbs and support chest exercises. Treatment with antibiotics, pain-relief medication and other supportive care is continuing. The medical team is closely monitoring her condition. Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satyakumar Yadav spoke with the doctors and shared the latest update on her health.
