Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, speaking at the inauguration of Sanath Nagar TIMS, said the state government was giving top priority to healthcare, education, agriculture and women’s welfare. He said private healthcare had become increasingly expensive and that TIMS hospitals were being established to provide corporate-level medical treatment to poor and middle-class people. Revanth Reddy said the government had spent ₹2,700 crore on Aarogyasri and ₹2,526 crore through the CMRF, taking the total expenditure on the health of the poor to ₹5,226 crore. He also said ₹21,800 crore had been spent on the Medical and Health Department over the past two years.
Revanth Reddy said the government was working to complete the Osmania, LB Nagar and Alwal TIMS hospitals and the Warangal super-speciality hospital by December 9, 2027. He said the projects, once completed, would add around 10,000 hospital beds and would be professionally managed with dedicated directors. Taking a political swipe at former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao, Revanth alleged that the previous government failed to complete the hospitals despite being in power for a decade. Referring to their farmhouses, he questioned why healthcare projects for the poor were not completed with the same urgency. He also said his government would continue to respond to what he described as false claims with facts.
