

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has expressed concern over the disappearance of a fishing boat carrying fishermen from Odalarevu in Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district. He sought details from the district Collector and Superintendent of Police and directed officials to speed up efforts to trace the missing fishermen. According to the information shared by the district administration, the boat had left the Odalarevu Fish Landing Centre on August 3 and was expected to return by August 13, but its whereabouts remain unknown. Search operations are being carried out with the assistance of Marine Police and the Indian Coast Guard.
Pawan Kalyan instructed officials to give the safety of the fishermen the highest priority and to expand the search operations on a larger scale. The district administration has alerted the police, revenue and fisheries departments and is continuously monitoring the situation. Officials were also directed to keep the families of the missing fishermen informed about developments and ensure that all possible resources are deployed to locate the boat and bring the fishermen back safely.
