The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced its new national office-bearers’ team under party president Nitin Nabin, but Telangana has been left without representation. The reshuffle has resulted in the removal of senior Telangana leaders Bandi Sanjay Kumar, D.K. Aruna and K. Laxman from their previous national organisational positions. Telangana is reportedly the only southern state without representation in the newly announced team.
The development marks a significant organisational change for the BJP’s Telangana unit. Bandi Sanjay had served as a national general secretary, D.K. Aruna had held the post of national vice-president, while K. Laxman had headed the BJP’s OBC Morcha at the national level. With all three now absent from the new national team, attention is focused on the party’s strategy for Telangana and the role these leaders will play in the state going forward.
