Jagtial: A road accident occurred near Kondagattu in Telangana’s Jagtial district on Monday evening when an RTC bus collided with a lorry at Balwanthapur crossroads on the Jagtial–Karimnagar National Highway. More than 20 passengers sustained injuries in the accident. The bus, belonging to Karimnagar-1 depot, was reportedly carrying over 60 passengers and was travelling towards Jagtial when the collision occurred.

The impact left bus driver Murali trapped inside the cabin. Local residents rescued him and shifted the injured passengers to a hospital in Jagtial for treatment. The accident led to a traffic jam extending for nearly a kilometre on both sides of the highway. Malyala Circle Inspector Raj Kumar reached the spot, inspected the scene and initiated measures to regulate traffic. Further details regarding the condition of the injured are awaited.
