The YSRCP, which is currently positioned as the main opposition force in Andhra Pradesh, appears to be more focused on monitoring the NDA government and searching for faults rather than rebuilding its own strength. Critics argue that while the coalition partners are actively solving problems and advancing their agendas, the YSRCP is staying passive and not engaging strongly on the ground.
Meanwhile, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan’s JanaSena Party is making rapid progress, especially in tribal-dominated constituencies. Traditionally, tribal voters have remained loyal to YSRCP and Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. But now the situation is shifting, with JanaSena gaining visible momentum in those regions. Despite this major change, YSRCP has shown very little reaction or counter-strategy, which analysts believe could push the party into deeper trouble.
JanaSena is also expanding in rural Andhra Pradesh, where the political contest used to be dominated by TDP and YSRCP. With strategic planning, JanaSena is now attempting to break into the YSRCP vote bank in these areas. As JanaSena grows stronger both in tribal and rural belts, YSRCP’s lack of response is being viewed as a major setback for its future political prospects.
