Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje launched a sharp attack on the Congress party, alleging that it continues to follow “dynasty politics” and has failed to deliver on its promises in Telangana. Speaking in Hyderabad, she accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of making inappropriate remarks against the Prime Minister merely to please the party high command, while failing to implement key welfare assurances. She criticised the state government for not fulfilling major poll promises, including financial aid for women, unemployment benefits, and pension hikes, calling it a betrayal of public trust.
Karandlaje also alleged that the Congress and the INDIA alliance have failed women and the southern states by opposing measures like delimitation reforms and women’s reservation initiatives. She stated that while the BJP promotes merit-based opportunities for women, Congress limits leadership to a single family. Highlighting central government initiatives under Narendra Modi, she emphasised schemes supporting women’s empowerment, including loans, subsidies, and self-help group development, asserting that financial independence for women strengthens both families and the nation.
