Congress Government Cheated Telangana Society in Every Way During 1,000 Days: Kishan Reddy

Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy launched a sharp attack on the Telangana Congress government as it completed 1,000 days in office, alleging that it had failed to fulfil several promises made to the people. He claimed that the government had disappointed employees, teachers, women, unemployed youth, students, farmers, senior citizens and other sections. Kishan Reddy demanded clarity on issues including pending employee bills, PRC and DA payments, the promised monthly financial assistance of Rs. 2,500 for women and Rs. 4,000 pensions for senior citizens and widows.

He further alleged that the Congress government had failed to deliver on commitments related to jobs, the job calendar, unemployment allowance, education support, farm loan waivers and welfare schemes. Kishan Reddy urged the state government to release a white paper detailing the promises fully implemented, those still pending and those that had been dropped during its 1,000 days in power. He accused the government of focusing on publicity and announcements instead of fulfilling its election commitments and alleged that it had betrayed the trust of the people of Telangana.
