Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has alleged that a conspiracy is underway to delete around one crore votes in Telangana under the pretext of the SIR exercise. Speaking at the memorial meeting of Comrade Sarampalli Malla Reddy at Ravindra Bharathi on Monday, he claimed that attempts were being made to remove the votes of people living in villages. He also alleged that efforts were underway to delete 80,000 votes in his own constituency.
Revanth Reddy criticised BJP leaders for openly speaking about adopting the methods followed in Bihar and Bengal and questioned why the BRS had not opposed the SIR exercise. He said the alleged deletion of votes would lay the foundation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s defeat in the 2029 elections and urged people to remain vigilant. He further criticised Modi as “the most dangerous person” for the country and said that Modi’s defeat would amount to a victory for the communists.
