Actor Vijay Deverakonda expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Rayalaseema at the grand ‘Ranabaali’ event held in Anantapur to celebrate his film Ranabaali. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan and featuring Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead, the pan-India film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner, with T-Series presenting it. Vijay said the region had given him a great deal, including memories from his student days, and that he took up the film with a sense of responsibility to tell the story of the land. He recalled watching films in New Cheruvu and expressed happiness that Ranabaali was drawing audiences to the same theatre. He added that the love and appreciation he received from viewers gave his life as an actor a deeper meaning—something money and awards could never offer.
Director Rahul Sankrityan said he was proud to see his film being screened to packed theatres in the region where he grew up. He described Ranabaali as a story rooted in history and local culture, thanking the team and Telugu audiences for their support. Producer Naveen Yerneni praised Vijay’s performance and Rashmika’s portrayal of Jayamma, saying the film had received appreciation alongside box-office support. Producer Y. Ravi Shankar noted the strong response from Rayalaseema, while actress Eeshwari Rao thanked audiences for standing by the film despite negative publicity. Rashmika, who could not attend the event because of a shoot in Mumbai, sent a message thanking fans for their love for her character and the social media reels and posts celebrating the film.
