They won the match 11-6, 8-11, 8-11, 11-9, 11-9, rallying in the final two games to seal their place in the semifinals.
The victory guarantees India a mixed doubles medal at the Asian Table Tennis Championships for the first time in 72 years. The last such medal came in 1954, when Yatin Vyas and Meena Parande won gold for India in the event.
