In the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections 2026, political strategist Prashant Kishor’s predictions appear to be coming true as actor-turned-politician Vijay leads his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), toward a remarkable victory. According to May 4 counting trends, TVK has surged ahead in over 100 constituencies, outpacing traditional heavyweights like Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam alliances. The party’s rapid rise has triggered widespread discussions across political circles and social media platforms.
Earlier, Prashant Kishor had confidently predicted in an interview that Vijay would succeed if he contested independently, without forming alliances. He even asserted that TVK could achieve the majority mark of 118 seats on its own. As current trends align with his forecast, Kishor’s remarks have gone viral again. Reports also suggest that Vijay sought Kishor’s strategic guidance for his political debut, with analysts crediting his grassroots planning for the party’s performance. If trends hold, Vijay could disrupt the decades-long dominance of DMK and AIADMK and emerge not just as a kingmaker, but as the king.
