India’s Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections have reached a new high, reflecting strong growth in the country’s economic activity. Gross GST revenue stood at ₹2.31 lakh crore in October, registering a significant 22.9% increase compared to the corresponding month last year. The latest figures highlight the continued momentum in tax collections.

Net GST revenue also witnessed substantial growth, rising 25.6% year-on-year to ₹2.03 lakh crore. According to analysts, the surge in collections can be attributed to improving economic activity and greater transparency in tax compliance.
