The leak of actor Vijay’s film “Jana Nayagan” on the internet even before its theatrical release has become a major topic of discussion. The film, which was already delayed due to censor board issues, being pirated ahead of its release has drawn strong reactions from several prominent figures in the film industry. Meanwhile, the controversy has taken a political turn after TVK alleged the involvement of Union Minister L. Murugan in the leak. However, these allegations were strongly denied by former Tamil Nadu BJP president K. Annamalai, who termed them baseless. He emphasized that film piracy is illegal and urged the public to stay away from pirated content.
Speaking to the media in Coimbatore while campaigning for a party candidate, Annamalai questioned why the BJP was being unnecessarily dragged into the controversy. He clarified that the party has no connection with issues related to film releases or leaks. He also called on the police to take strict action against those spreading rumors and stated that making such allegations for political gains is inappropriate.
