I Was Removed Without Being Informed - Minister Konda Surekha

Former minister Konda Surekha expressed strong displeasure over her dismissal during a press conference in Hyderabad. She alleged that the party leadership took a unilateral decision without informing her even once. Comparing the situation to the procedure followed before carrying out a death sentence, she said that even a person facing execution is informed and asked about their final wish. She alleged that Tirupati Reddy and others conspired against her out of personal and political animosity and were responsible for her removal.

Surekha also alleged that a conspiracy was carried out to tarnish her and her family in connection with the Sumanth issue. She claimed that allegations involving crimes and settlements were deliberately linked to Sumanth’s name to defame her. She further alleged that the case was transferred to the CCS and that Sumanth was being targeted and harassed. Questioning the action against her, Surekha asked why leaders who had allegedly spoken against the party in the past were not subjected to similar action.

Surekha demanded that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy explain how a BC woman minister was removed while his government claims credit for BC reservations. She urged leaders who are unhappy with developments within the government to speak out. She said removing her from office was one matter, but she should have been informed beforehand. She also called on the government to reconsider its approach ahead of the upcoming municipal corporation elections. During the press conference, Surekha released a letter outlining her objections and allegations.
