BRS former minister Srinivas Goud has strongly reacted to the reported dismissal of Telangana Endowments Minister Konda Surekha, calling it unfair. He questioned the action against a BC woman minister when several Congress MLAs and leaders had allegedly spoken against the state government. Goud was speaking at the ‘BRS Rythu Garjana’ held in Kosgi, Narayanpet district, in protest against the Congress government’s 1,000 days in office. Former minister Sabitha Indra Reddy and several BRS leaders and workers also attended the programme.
Goud alleged that Congress had taken no action against several leaders who had crossed the party line, while Surekha was singled out. He also claimed that allegations of corruption and commission-taking had been made against some ministers without any action being taken against them. Goud alleged that Surekha was removed because she is a BC woman and accused the Congress government of treating her unfairly. He questioned why different standards were being applied to different ministers.
