I Have No Desire for Positions: Chinna Reddy

Reacting to the high command’s decision, Dr. G. Chinna Reddy clarified that he has no desire for political positions. He said he had been given the Planning Commission post until further orders and added that he had made no attempt to meet the Chief Minister over the matter. Chinna Reddy stated that his dignity and self-respect remain unchanged, whether he holds a position or not.

He further said that he had even given up official protocol while holding office, stressing that personal respect should not depend on a position. Chinna Reddy’s remarks following the high command’s decision have drawn attention in political circles, as he reiterated that he does not attach importance to holding official posts.
