Naga Babu, brother of Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and a sitting Member of the Legislative Council (MLC), has once again clarified his political stand. During his tour of Andhra Pradesh, he publicly stated that he has no interest in contesting elections and confirmed that he will not take part in the 2029 Assembly elections. He reiterated that his sole focus is to support Pawan Kalyan and strengthen the Jana Sena Party at the grassroots level.
Naga Babu stated that if he had personal political ambitions, he would have contested in the 2024 elections itself. He emphasised that his priority is party building rather than holding elected positions. Though he was earlier considered for the Anakapalle constituency in 2024, alliance seat-sharing constraints prevented it. He was later accommodated as an MLC, reflecting the alliance leadership’s emphasis on collective governance and unity over individual aspirations.
