Venkatesh and Trivikram’s Adarsha Kutumbam received mixed reviews after its release, but the film also earned a positive response from some sections of the audience. The producers announced through a poster that the movie had collected ₹75 crore worldwide. However, industry discussions have raised questions about its production costs, with reports suggesting that the original budget of around ₹60 crore increased to nearly ₹130 crore. Shooting delays and reshoots are reportedly among the major reasons behind the rise in expenditure.
The film is said to have involved approximately 130 working days. Reports also suggest that several scenes shot for the movie did not make it into the final version. Portions featuring Vennela Kishore were reportedly removed, while the screen time of Brahmaji’s scenes was reduced. The extensive footage that was filmed but not used, along with a reported lack of clarity during the scripting stage, is said to have contributed to the increased costs. Based on these industry discussions, some observers are describing the film as a high-budget disappointment. However, the actual production budget and financial outcome have not been independently confirmed.
