Harish Rao, senior leader of Bharat Rashtra Samithi and former minister, strongly criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, alleging that a government unable to procure paddy is making unrealistic claims about preventing BRS from returning to power. He expressed confidence that BRS would defeat Revanth Reddy again in Kodangal and win 14 seats in the united Palamuru region to form the next government. Speaking as the chief guest at a party workers’ meeting and awareness program in Achampet constituency of Nagarkurnool district, Harish Rao highlighted the party’s achievements in irrigation projects.
He stated that during the BRS tenure, despite challenges like COVID-19 and economic slowdown, the government provided Rs.73,000 crore under Rythu Bandhu in 11 installments and irrigated 6.5 lakh acres. He accused the current government of failing to complete pending canal works, delaying loan waivers, and not delivering promised benefits. He also criticized the reduction of crop bonuses and alleged neglect of welfare schemes. Harish Rao further questioned the government’s financial priorities, pointing out delays in compensation and welfare funds, while accusing it of unnecessary expenditures.
