Kalvakuntla Kavitha alleged large-scale corruption in GHMC and held the Chief Minister responsible during a press meet in Banjara Hills. She claimed that several works worth over ₹1,148 crore were awarded through nomination instead of proper tendering, raising serious concerns over transparency. Kavitha demanded that all works in GHMC and HMDA should strictly follow the tender process to avoid misuse of public funds.
She also accused the government of pressuring real estate developers and warned that if such practices continue, a complaint would be filed with enforcement agencies. Kavitha further criticised the handling of infrastructure projects and alleged irregularities in departments, stating that public money was being misused. She called for immediate reforms and cancellation of the nomination system to ensure accountability.
