The shooting incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff has taken a new turn, with a media report claiming that one of the accused linked the attack to remarks Shroff made about Salman Khan during a film promotion event in 2022. According to the report, Shroff had praised Salman, saying that although many people might be called Tiger, there was only one “Tiger” in the film industry—and that was Salman Khan. The accused reportedly told investigators that the comment was a reason for targeting Shroff. Police are also examining six bank accounts linked to suspected transactions in the case. Investigators reportedly believe that the money reached the accused through three separate stages rather than through direct transfers.
The accused were reportedly arrested while travelling on a train near Kota railway station in Rajasthan. Following the shooting, they allegedly switched off their mobile phones to evade police and may have used Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services to communicate, according to investigators’ suspicions. Meanwhile, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has urged film producers to strengthen security arrangements on shooting locations. The organisation has stressed the need to protect actors, technicians and other personnel and has cautioned against hiring individuals who lack proper identification. The investigation into the shooting and the suspected financial and communication links remains ongoing.
