Naga Durga Opens Up About Priyadarshi’s Pranks on the Sets of ‘Idupu Kayitham’

Naga Durga, who gained popularity through YouTube songs and has now stepped into films as a heroine, is gearing up for the release of Idupu Kayitham. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on December 11, and its team recently unveiled the song Gadapa at an event held in Hyderabad. Speaking at the launch, Naga Durga revealed that she had not initially planned to enter the film industry. However, after listening to the complete narration of Idupu Kayitham and learning about the character Srilatha, she felt the role was meant for her. The film’s earlier song, Srilatha, has also received a positive response, according to the information shared by the team.

The actress also recalled a humorous experience from the film’s shooting days involving actor Priyadarshi. She said she had asked the team to treat her gently because she was young, but Priyadarshi continued to tease her. When she jokingly threatened to complain to producer Bunny Vasu, Priyadarshi reportedly challenged her to do so. Naga Durga added that nobody had ragged her during college because her father was a police officer, making Priyadarshi’s pranks on the film set all the more amusing. The newly released Gadapa song features authentic Telangana lyrics and depicts the imagined emotions and atmosphere surrounding a newly married woman entering her in-laws’ home.
