Big Blow to BJP in Its Own Stronghold

PCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud and Minister Ponnam Prabhakar stated that the BJP’s defeat in the Bankipur Assembly by-election in Bihar signals a significant shift in national politics. They noted that Bankipur has long been considered a stronghold of the BJP, and the victory of Jan Suraj Party founder Prashant Kishor in the constituency of BJP national president Nitin Nabin reflects the strength of democratic values.

Responding separately to the bypoll results on Monday, the leaders said the outcome is a clear message to the BJP, which they accused of arrogance and overconfidence. They added that the people have democratically taught the party a lesson and claimed that the results indicate a growing inclination of voters towards the Congress party.
