Kareena Kapoor Recalls Running on Mumbai Streets for Help After Saif Ali Khan’s Attack

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has opened up about the terrifying moments following the knife attack on her husband, actor Saif Ali Khan, at their Mumbai residence on January 16, 2025. Recalling the incident on Koffee with Karan, Kareena said she rushed onto the street in her nightwear, desperately seeking help to take her injured husband to the hospital. She revealed that she stopped passing vehicles and shouted for assistance, adding that she had not even found the time to change out of her night T-shirt and put on her pyjamas. Describing the experience as something straight out of a film, she said Saif was bleeding heavily and she ran around in panic. Kareena also mentioned that, fortunately, nobody recorded those moments on camera.

Saif recalled how their son Taimur was frightened after seeing him injured. According to the actor, the child asked him, “Papa, will you die?” Saif said the attacker stabbed him nearly ten times while he was trying to protect his son. He also remarked that the knife could have caused more serious injuries had it been sharper. Responding to questions about his seemingly calm appearance after being discharged from the hospital, Kareena said the incident had deeply affected their family. She revealed that they struggled with sleepless nights for nearly six months, despite Saif appearing composed and strong during the recovery period.
