Chasing master and batting superstar Virat Kohli celebrates his 38th birthday today. On the special occasion, Star Sports released a video titled ‘Winner Stays On’, in which Kohli spoke about his favourite ODI innings. He picked his 43-run knock against England in the 2013 Champions Trophy final as the best ODI innings of his career. The rain-affected final was reduced to 20 overs, with India struggling at 66 for five. Kohli then joined hands with Ravindra Jadeja, who scored 33, to put together a crucial 47-run partnership. India eventually defeated England by five runs to lift the Champions Trophy.
Several cricketers and celebrities have been extending birthday wishes to Kohli. Former India opener Shikhar Dhawan wished him, saying that his passion, determination and love for the game continue to inspire millions, and hoped that the year ahead would be a wonderful one. Former cricketer Suresh Raina also shared a heartfelt message, praising Kohli's beautiful cover drives, memorable run chases, fighting spirit and desire to win. He said he thoroughly enjoys watching Kohli bat and wished him many more achievements in the years ahead.
