BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah over their allegations that Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is imposing an ‘RR Tax’ in the state. He asked why the Centre was not taking action if the allegations were true. In a post on social media platform X, KTR alleged that an understanding between the BJP and Congress was the reason behind the lack of action.
KTR further claimed that the alleged ‘RR Tax’ was a reality in Hyderabad and said that builders in the city could confirm it. He alleged that Rs. 200 was being collected per square foot. His remarks have added to the political exchange between the BRS, Congress and BJP over the allegations surrounding the state government.
