Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has questioned Union Home Minister Amit Shah over the persistent drug crisis in Punjab, raising concerns about the Centre's response to the issue. Gandhi reportedly challenged Shah to take concrete action and resolve the problem within the next three years instead of limiting efforts to political promises. He highlighted the growing impact of drug addiction and illegal trafficking on the state.
Gandhi also stressed that drug abuse is severely affecting Punjab's youth and their families. The issue has brought renewed attention to the need for stronger measures against drug trafficking, improved law enforcement and effective efforts to protect young people from addiction. His remarks come ahead of the Punjab Assembly elections, adding to the political debate over the drug menace and the responsibilities of both the state and central governments.
