Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s vision to make the state a national hub for electric vehicles and renewable energy is rapidly taking shape. Strengthening his clean energy mission, the global conglomerate Hinduja Group has officially partnered with the Andhra Pradesh government. An MoU worth ₹20,000 crore was signed today, marking one of the largest private investments in the state’s industrial and clean energy sectors. The agreement outlines four major projects:
Power Expansion (Visakhapatnam): Expansion of the existing 1,050 MW HNPCL plant by an additional 1,600 MW to ensure steady power for industries.
Renewable Energy (Rayalaseema): Setting up large solar and wind energy projects to boost AP’s green power capacity.
EV Manufacturing (Mallavalli, Krishna): Establishment of a cutting-edge electric bus and light-vehicle production plant.
EV Charging Network: Development of state-wide EV charging infrastructure to support sustainable mobility.
With this partnership, Andhra Pradesh is positioning itself as India’s new energy frontier — combining industrial growth with environmental responsibility.
