AP Education Can Become No. 1 in India with Government Efforts and Moral Values: Nara Lokesh

Andhra Pradesh Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh said the state’s school education system can become the best in the country if government initiatives are complemented by strong moral values. Addressing the ‘Bharatiyam’ programme organised at the Akundi Lakshmi Memorial Gosala in Thimmapuram, Kakinada Rural, under the guidance of spiritual speaker and Moral Values Advisor Chaganti Koteswara Rao, Lokesh said more than 1.10 lakh students had reportedly shifted from private to government schools this academic year, while Intermediate admissions had also increased. He credited students, parents and teachers for the progress and stressed the importance of value-based education.

Lokesh said education should focus not only on academic learning and sports but also on developing discipline, respect and responsibility among children from an early age. He noted that moral-values lessons developed under Chaganti Koteswara Rao’s guidance are being incorporated into government-school education. Lokesh further said meaningful social change begins in classrooms and that every decision in the education sector should remain student-centric.
