Indian badminton star PV Sindhu continues to deliver impressive performances on the international circuit. After winning the Japan and Hylo Open titles this year and finishing as the runner-up at the French Open, Sindhu has qualified for the BWF World Tour Finals after a gap of five years. The prestigious tournament is scheduled to take place in Hangzhou, China, from December 9 to 13. Her qualification marks a return to the event for the first time since 2021.
Sindhu first won the BWF World Tour Finals title in 2018. She exited in the group stage in 2019 and 2020 before reaching the final in 2021, where she finished as runner-up after losing to South Korean shuttler An Se-young. Although she qualified for the 2022 edition, Sindhu withdrew at the last minute due to a left ankle injury. She will now get another opportunity to compete in the tournament and aim for the title.
