Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan met Union Minister Bhupender Yadav in Delhi and held discussions on multiple state proposals seeking central assistance. He requested additional financial support under centrally sponsored schemes for sea protection laws, pollution mitigation in the Godavari region, and strengthening environmental initiatives such as the AP Greening Society. He emphasized the need for stronger coordination between state and central governments for effective implementation of green projects.
He also discussed wildlife conservation measures, including the proposal to relocate six tigers from Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh to Andhra Pradesh to boost the state’s tiger population. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has reportedly approved the transfer of four tigers, while Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav agreed to send two.
