Who Should Resign? - Minister Ponguleti

Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy strongly criticized the opposition’s political allegations over 22A lands. He questioned why he and the government were being targeted with what he described as false propaganda when the government was ready to address people’s land related issues. Ponguleti said those who had enjoyed power for years using public money but failed to resolve people’s problems should instead consider resigning. He also said he takes only one rupee as monthly salary and continues to work for the poor through Indiramma Houses, Indiramma Towers and other public welfare initiatives.

Ponguleti questioned whether former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao should resign after allegedly receiving ₹21 crore from the government while staying away from the Assembly, and asked former minister Harish Rao to respond. He accused the opposition of corruption while in power and blackmail while in opposition, saying the government would not be intimidated by such tactics. Responding to repeated remarks about his name, Ponguleti warned that if the Godavari and Krishna rivers overflowed with force, neither the opposition leaders nor their party would remain politically relevant. He also asserted that the Indiramma government would return to power in the next elections.
