Jammikunta Municipal Chairman Molugu Prashanth Kumar Dilip has appealed to residents to conserve water and remain alert to possible water shortages and rising temperatures. In his message to the public, he highlighted the potential impact of El Niño, which could contribute to higher temperatures and increased pressure on water resources. He urged everyone to follow government guidelines and use water responsibly.
The chairman advised residents to use only the required amount of water supplied through municipal taps and make proper arrangements for storing water at home. He also suggested avoiding wastage and reusing water used for household cleaning and washing clothes wherever possible. Additionally, he urged people to take precautions against extreme heat, avoid going outdoors during peak temperature hours and prioritise their health. He called on every resident to participate in water conservation efforts.
