Prime Minister Narendra Modi has accused the opposition of spreading misinformation about possible LPG and fertiliser shortages in the country amid the Iran war. He alleged that some people were happy when the country faced difficulties and were focused on tarnishing his image. Modi made these remarks at an event in Bhildi, in Gujarat’s Banaskantha district, on Friday. He said his government had taken steps to ensure that the burden of rising fertiliser prices amid tensions in the Gulf region did not fall on farmers. He added that while people were working towards making India a developed nation, some were unhappy with the country's progress.
Modi reiterated that he would continue serving the people until his last breath. At the event, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for development projects worth ₹14,000 crore. He also released more than ₹18,000 crore under the 24th instalment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme into the bank accounts of nearly 10 crore farmers across the country. More than 50 lakh farmers in Gujarat received over ₹1,000 crore, he said. The Prime Minister inaugurated the Bharat Bovine Breeding and Research Centre, spread across 127 acres in Banaskantha, aimed at developing the Kankrej cattle breed and improving livestock productivity. He also launched two bio-CNG plants, an expansion of a potato processing facility under the Banas Dairy initiative, and several other development projects.
