Congress MP from Nagarkurnool, Dr. Mallu Ravi, criticized BRS leaders for conducting a mock Assembly at Telangana Bhavan while the state Assembly is in session. He said the BRS should attend the Assembly and raise public issues instead of avoiding the House.
Speaking at a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan, Mallu Ravi alleged that BRS leaders were staying away from the Assembly out of fear that the alleged corruption, irregularities and misrule during their previous tenure would come under discussion.
He questioned why the BRS was conducting a mock Assembly outside the House instead of questioning the government on behalf of the people. Mallu Ravi said such programmes would not help the BRS escape its responsibility and accused the party of misleading people through political theatrics.
