Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu stated that Andhra Pradesh is being developed as a future Green Hydrogen Valley, positioning the state as a global hub for clean energy, advanced technology, and industrial investments.
He highlighted that consumers are transforming into prosumers by generating electricity through rooftop solar panels. With a coastline stretching over 1,000 kilometers, Andhra Pradesh is set to develop nearly 20 ports, strengthening its industrial and logistics ecosystem.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the state is ideally suited for solar, wind, hydro, and pumped storage power generation, as well as green hydrogen and green ammonia production. The AM Green project will produce green hydrogen, ammonia, ethanol, and other green molecules.
Naidu noted that Kakinada has gained global recognition in green energy discussions and welcomed the decision to manufacture 2 GW electrolyzers in the city. He described the AP Clean and Green Integrated Energy Policy 2024 as one of the best in the country.
He reaffirmed that the government is committed to fast-track approvals for industries and supporting investors without delay. Green ammonia, he said, will also support natural farming and help address environmental challenges caused by excessive fertilizer use.
The Chief Minister added that Andhra Pradesh has attracted 25% of the foreign investments coming into India, reduced power purchase costs, and is working to cut transmission losses. He also announced plans for AI, quantum computing, and space technology initiatives, asserting that Andhra Pradesh will become a major knowledge economy hub in the future.
