Yamunotri, Gangotri Temples to Open ... Kedarnath and Badrinath Dates Announced

Preparations are underway for the sacred Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand. As part of the pilgrimage, the portals of Yamunotri and Gangotri temples will open on April 19 on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya.  Following this, Kedarnath temple will open on April 22, while Badrinath temple will open on April 23 at 6:15 AM for devotees.

To manage the large number of pilgrims, authorities have made online registration mandatory. Only those who complete the registration process will be allowed to undertake the yatra.  Every year, lakhs of devotees participate in the Char Dham Yatra, and a similar large turnout is expected this season as well.
