Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi launched sharp criticism against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his election campaign in Tamil Nadu. He accused the central government of taking decisions that could impact national interests and weaken federal principles. Addressing public meetings across multiple constituencies, Rahul Gandhi emphasized the need to protect regional identities, languages, and state rights. He alleged that there is an attempt to impose uniform policies across the country without considering regional diversity.
Meanwhile, BJP women leaders staged a protest outside Rahul Gandhi’s residence over the issue of the women’s reservation bill, criticizing the opposition’s stance. Rahul Gandhi also stated that certain policy moves could negatively affect southern states and reduce their voice in Parliament. Other leaders joined the campaign, adding to the growing political intensity ahead of elections.
