

Today, N. Chandrababu Naidu launched India’s first Quantum Reference Facility in Amaravati on the occasion of World Quantum Day. He expressed happiness over achieving this milestone and extended his wishes to scientists, researchers, students and the public. The facility includes an open-access quantum system at SRM University and another system named 1Q at Medha Towers.
The Chief Minister said that this initiative marks a historic step as quantum science completes 100 years. He highlighted that knowledge and science play a key role in social progress and mentioned that launching this project on Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s birth anniversary makes it even more special. He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Jitendra Singh for supporting the development of the Amaravati Quantum Valley.
He further explained that these quantum facilities will help researchers and industries test and develop new technologies. Amaravati’s 1S and 1Q systems will support both research and industrial use. Chandrababu Naidu expressed pride that Andhra Pradesh is now hosting the country’s first quantum computing infrastructure, which will strengthen India’s future in advanced technology.
